Ouverture de l’Appel à projets 2013 de la Fondation Alliance BioSecure

The Alliance BioSecure Foundation under the aegis of the Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale pursues in 2013 its funding of prions research.

The 2013 Alliance BioSecure call will follow those of the previous years (2007 to 2012) which focused on minimizing biological risk from prions.

In order to take into account the recent progress made into this field and to give the best chances to leverage promising results, the Foundation has decided to focus its call on the detection of human prions.

Budget: € 250 000

Scientific Theme

• Development or validation of methods to detect prions
  (direct detection or indirect through biomarkers) in humans.
  

Eligibility criteria

• Projects must come from teams based in public or non-profit institution in France or abroad.
• The applicant must be a tenured researcher from a public research organism, a hospital or a university or a non-profit institution.
• Grant applications (from 30 000 to 60 000 euros total, for a period up to 3 years) may include equipment, consumables, mission and/or personnel costs.
